Old Mine cut diamonds date back to 18th-century Europe. They feature a cushion shape, high crown facets, a small table, and a large or open culet.
About Old European Cut Diamonds
Old European cut diamonds, date back to the late 19th and early 20th centuries, are rounder and were popular during the Victorian, Edwardian, and Art Deco periods. Unlike modern cuts, which have more facets for brilliance, Old European cuts have larger facets that give them a warmer glow and a chunkier appearance.

Collecting is part of Danielle’s bloodline, and remains first and foremost in her career. A love and appreciation for curating treasures was instilled in her at an early age by both her grandmothers. She cherished their antique collections, and inherited several charmed pieces, including some beautiful Italian gold charms and bracelets. She lives in Nashville, is a graduate gemologist, and has a specialty in antique and estate jewelry, having appraised jewelry for over 16 years.
